Teton fall twilight

SEASONS Pierce Cuningham is the Teton rancher who gave birth to the idea of Grand Teton National Park. For five decades he lived in his cabin on the valley floor. The area around Cunninghams cabin looks best in winter and early summer. The sage brush flats in which it sits look brown and uninspiring for most of the year.

TIMES

The cabin can be visited any time of year. For the panorama shot of the valley, early morning light is best in the summer or fall. In twilight, the sky and clouds over the Grand Teton often take on a warm alpenglow in the minutes that follow sunset.
