| SEASONS |
This shot works best from early
June through early October. The above photo was taken from
the parking area and gives you the sweeping Snake River foreground.
A full mirror shot can be had by hiking down to the river
and looking for the 'right' spot. In fall people like to go
100 yards further north and compress the golden aspens seen
on the far point with a 70mm lens. |
| TIMES |
Early sunrise gives you the alpenglow you see above with
a super saturated film. Sunset will give you the classsic
high altitude fire in the sky if the cloud cover is right.
The fire is best in mid September when the sun sets behind
Mt Moran. Moose are often seen at both sunrise and sunset
in the river.
