This site, known to most people as "False Kiva", is one of the most enchanting in the whole of the desert southwest. Located well off the road, it is arrived at after a very interesting cross country hike. The view is truly inspirational. You are standing in an Anasazi spiritual place, about 1000 feet above the canyon floor below.
In Canyonlands the constantly changing weather and atmospheric conditions control the light and with it your opportunities. As such, it can be hard to get some good light and a good set of clouds to break up the usually blue and hazy skies. On the day this was taken, I had my Pentax 645D and the gods of light smiled on me. For a little more info on the shot and camera, look here. |
| The Print |
This print of the month will be offered as a signed print made to fit on a 17"x22" sheet of Ilford GOLD fibre silk fine art paper using Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks. The nominal size is about 16"x20".
The print price is an amazing $98 including shipping!
We don't deal with matting or framing so you can make a purchase at a very low price. Use the local framer of your choice or matte and frame the print yourself if you choose.
Larger prints are available on request. |

Full technical details, including camera, exposure, exposure date and exact location the photo was taken will be included in a printed sheet with the print. Any special techniques used in Photoshop to tweak the final print will also be discussed. |
