The photograph of this isolated pioneer house is one that took a little extra effort to produce. For three months a year this location is snow bound. To make this image, three of us skied in about 1.5 miles to "Mormon Row" in the Tetons before sunrise in late December.

We waited patiently for the sun to rise and shine through the heavy ground fog present that day. After about an hour we were ready to give up. My two companions started talking about afternoon photo opps. Suddenly a window opened in the fog and for about 30 seconds the scene you see above unfolded. I got off two quick shots on my Pentax 645N. My companions missed the shot. Always pay attention to the light, it above all else will make or break a photographic endeavor.

This print of the month will be offered as a signed print made to fit on a 17"x22" sheet of Ilford GOLD fibre silk fine art paper using Epson Ultrachrome K3 inks. The nominal size is about 16"x20".

We don't deal with matting or framing so you can make a purchase at a very low price. Use the local framer of your choice or matte and frame the print yourself if you choose.

Full technical details, including camera, exposure, exposure date and exact location the photo was taken will be included in a printed sheet with the print. Any special techniques used in Photoshop to tweak the final print will also be discussed.

All prints will be shipped UPS ground within the United States and the cost of shipping and packaging is included in the print price.
