Mt Moran as seen from String Lake

SEASONS String Lake is unique in that it can yield excellent pictures of both the main Teton group and Mt Moran. If you look north from a middle point on the east shore of the lake a wonderful mirrored image of Mt Moran can be seen. If you look south from the same point an excellent view of the Grand Teton and its environs is visible. Any time from early summer to mid fall can yield a good image.
