Young golden eagle

SEASONS Both bald and golden eagles can be seen through out the Teton/Yellowstone area. Bald eagles most often nest near rivers and lakes as they primarily are fish eaters. Golden eagles nest near cliffs and gorges and primarily eat rabbits and rodents. Both species can be seen year round.

 

TIMES

 

Eagles can be seen perched near their nest throughout the day.

 

LENS & FILTERS

 

LENS: 300-600mm focal length for 35mm camera, 300mm in a blind was used above.

FILTERS: 81A or 81B if birds are in the shade

Slide films: Fuji Provia 400F, Kodachrome 200

Negative films: Kodak Supra 400
