| SEASONS |
The Palisades backcountry which
is in the Snake River Range, just south of Teton pass is home
to a sizable herd of mountain goats year round. In the summer
these goats often range north in search of forage and can
be seen at the southern end of the Tetons. |
|
TIMES
|
Goats seem to be a bit more active during
the day than most other herbivores. They are usally seen
high up on mounatin passes. The breeze on the crest of these
passes keeps away many of the summer bugs that plague animals
living lower down in the alpine environment.
